We always kiss goodnight
But since the crib tents arrived I make a bigger deal of it

I am sealing them into the cribs for the night
So there are lots and lots of kisses before going in

After the zippers have been
Zipped
I love it when after the lights have been turned off and I’m
Leaving the room
I exit to the sounds of the boys blowing
Me kisses

I’m at the apple store right now waiting to turn in my old dell and for them to transfer all my data and give the imac back to me tomorrow or friday!

dorothy has been home ’sick’ for the last two days, and today we didn’t leave the house at all. I need her to go to school tomorrow

Hard to believe, but David and I got out last night
His parents had tickets to see the Florida orchestra that they couldn’t use
So they gave them to mark and Carolina.
But they’re jet lagged
So they called us and said we could have them…and they would watch the kids
So we went!
It was amazing.
They played a Mendelsohn violin concerto. Wow

Our Dell computer is on its way out. and fast. The thing is older than dorothy…which really isn’t that old, but this thing is slow like molasses.

I decided a while ago that I would replace with a mac if we needed to, and the time has come. A new iMac is on its way to my house as we speak.

We set up crib tents for the boys last weekend. They are real peices of engineering and were tough to put together. There is no way the kids are getting out of their cribs now

Reid has been wearing Keen sandals, and man do they make his feet STINK

I was going to make today’s post about our child-proofing techniques, but then I made dinner and had to write about that

We had some fish and roasted asparagus tonight. Dorothy wanted to dip hers in ketchup, and Adam wanted some too. He ate one more bite of fish and started scooping up the ketchup with his fingers and eating that, and only that. He didn’t want anything else. You can only imagine what he looked like…

two weeks ago, david left for the sunfish world championships, and I was alone with the kids for 4 days before I left to meet him…David’s mother, Kathy swooped in and watched them while we were both away.

I was totally nervous about having the kids all to myself for 4 days, especially for the weekend and in the evenings. But we did great.

Saturday, we did strollerfit and the saturday morning market. everyone took good naps, ate dinner, and then fell asleep. easy day.

Sunday, we went to the Hundsader Farms Pumpkin Festival, we went there last spring to go strawberry picking. We had just as good a day this time. I went with very low expectations, thinking, “if we drive 45 minutes there, and 45 minutes back, and spend an hour at the festival, I will have killed the morning.” But no, it was so much better than that. We walked, we looked at classic cars, I had a hot cider, we all had roasted corn on the cob. We bought a pumpkin and then went home. Morning very successfully killed. I smiled from ear to ear with happiness.

Taking the kids to something like that was totally outside my comfort zone. a farm, with 3 kids, and no husband? what????? but I did it! I think I have officially conquored my fear of doing things alone with the kids
